Newscast Media HOUSTON—Details have finally emerged about the fatal shooting that happened in the northwest Houston neighborhood of Spring yesterday, where a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot.
According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, the boy was discovered inside a home on the 22000 block of Bridgestone Ridge Drive at around 2:20 a.m. by the father of a 16-year-old girl.
When asked who the boy in his daughter's bedroom was, the girl allegedly denied knowing him.
According to reports, "There was some type of altercation and the father shot the teen once," said Sgt. Ben Bell with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The boy allegedly dropped his hands as if to reach for something in his pants, it was then that the father shot him. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed, but authorities say there is an ongoing investigation.
