Teacher charged in videotaped beating of student Joseph Ernest June 22, 2010
Newscast Media -- Sheri Lynn Davis, 40, the school teacher at Jamie's House Charter school was charged with injury to a child based on the evidence of the videotaped incident that shocked parents and other teachers at the school.
The video shows Davis kicking and punching a 13-year old boy on the April 29. Three other people were charged including the school's superintendent and founder, Ollie Hilliard, who was charged for failure to report child abuse, a class A misdemeanor.
Davis was fired after the viral video recorded on a cell phone came to the school's attention, and was aired on television.
