Newscast Media WASHINGTON—While Donald Trump is still contemplating whether or not he'll endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan in the Wisconsin primary, Mike Pence, has strongly endorsed his longtime friend publicly.
"I strongly support Paul Ryan, strongly endorse his reelection. I believe we need Paul Ryan in leadership in the Congress of the United States to rebuild our military, to strengthen our economy and to ensure that we have the kind of leadership in this country that will make America great again,” Pence told FOX News on Wednesday.
Trump hasn't yet committed to endorsing either Paul Ryan, or Senator John McCain of Arizona, and in an interview with the Washington Post, Trump said, “I like Paul, but these are horrible times for our country. We need very strong leadership. We need very, very strong leadership. And I’m just not quite there yet. I’m not quite there yet.”
The chairman of the Republican National Committee Reince Priebus, is reportedly unhappy with Trump for not extending support to Ryan, who is facing a tight race with Paul Nehlen, an unknown politician. Add Comments>>
