Video highlights of Salute Law Enforcement Day celebrated by Houstonians
Houston police exhibiting tactical weapons to the public
by Joseph Earnest May 7, 2012 Newscast Media HOUSTON, Texas—Houston police proved that, "everything's bigger in Texas" and on Salute Law Enforcement Day in Houston there was a display of big toys from over 100 law enforcement agencies around the Houston area, as law enforcement officers mingled with the public to bring safety awareness to Houstonians.
Newscast Media was invited to cover the event which included the SWAT Team (Special Weapons and Tactics) an elite tactical unit in law enforcement, Secret Service, FBI agents, drug-sniffing dogs, officers on horseback, beat officers and many more agencies. Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia was a special guest at the event, and played a big role in making the festivities successful.

A Sheriff is the highest and most powerful governmental authority in his county. Within that jurisdiction (his county) – the Sheriff has more power than the governor of his state. Indeed, and more power in his county than the President of the United States. In his county, A Sheriff can overrule an unjust judge, the governor, and the U.S. President, and can even kick him out of his county. Of course many people do not know this because media practitioners keep them in the dark, about how much power is accessible to the citizenry through their local Sheriff. Watch video below:

Houston, which is also referred to as Harris County, hosts the event annually and this year's venue was the Willowbrook Mall on F.M. 1960. Believe it or not, there is a street that sounds like a radio station, and F.M. 1960 is perhaps one of the longest streets North Houston. Add Comments>>
