Unarmed Black woman shot dead for seeking help in White suburb

Newscast Media DETROIT—A community is looking for answers after 19-year-old Renisha McBride was shot in the head after seeking the help of residents in what media reports are describing as a predominantly white Detroit suburb following a car crash in the early morning of Nov. 4.
While Dearborn Heights authorities have refused to release details of the investigation, they have "identified the person who fired the shot and killed the woman."
According to her family, McBride was likely forced to go door-to-door because her cell phone had died, and she had been in an accident.
"She probably wanted to ask him to make a call for her or if she could use the phone," said McBride's maternal aunt, Bernita Spinks told WJBK News.
Yet McBride and others have no idea how their loved one ended up dead.
"This man just came to the door, by somebody just knocking? She didn't break in his house; she didn't break a window. What, you seen somebody on your porch and you just start shooting? And then you say it was accidental? That wasn't accidental; that wasn't accidental, no," Spinks said.
The family believes that McBride, who is Black, was likely racially profiled and is relieved that the police have decided to seek charges in the case.
"I just want justice. I'm not going to stop until we get it," Spinks told Detroit News (pop-up).

The random killings that are racially motivated, have something to do with the Trayvon Martin verdict, that has emboldened those who may have an affinity for committing hate crimes, knowing they can be absolved of their crimes using the "self-defense" narrative.
Why the deceased young woman would go into a White neighborhood seeking help at a time when racial tensions are at an all-time high, is unimaginable.
There are those who have blamed the racial tensions between Blacks and Whites on Barack Obama, saying he has been divisive, and the same people have gone as far as to claim: "Obama wants people to snap!"
To snap, they are...and it is manifesting itself through these random killings. Yet if both sides were equally armed at all times, it would cause a would-be perpetrator to stop and think twice, knowing that the other person is also packing heat.
The sad reality is that even after 300 years, and with all the social platforms, there are those who still thrive on racism because it is big business. Racism allows corporations to underpay certain groups of people over another. It allows denial of services of one group of people, while giving the other an "unearned" privilege. It benefits the prison institutions because they can make more profits by selling the bonds of everyone imprisoned on the secondary market in form of securitized assets.
It allows those who practice it to remain uncivil therefore they never have to take responsibility for the generational curse of racism that they inherited from their forefathers. Every problem can then be blamed on a certain group of people as a way of deflecting personal responsibility for one's actions.
There are those who may claim that racism or racial profiling does not exist and people need to get over it. That makes as much sense as saying anti-semitism does not exist, or that the Jews need to get over the holocaust since it is something that happened in the past. Try pulling that stunt, before lecturing Blacks about their past.
What if this journalist told the doubters, that actually White, military practitioners have acknowledged that not only does it exist, but they have deconstructed how those who perpetrate it are trained to practice it. The manual also talks about how a certain group referred to as the "White Male Club" (pages 184-186), is offered "unearned privilege" because of their skin color. This means, they really don't have to be as educated, hardworking, or even qualified to get jobs, contacts, or other benefits that everyone else has to work hard for.
The manual is used by the Pentagon and was created by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute. It warns the White race and others perpetrating racism about the dangers of their actions and how to overcome the generational curse of racism.
The manual also says: "There are far more White criminals than criminals from any other racial subgroup, yet news coverage of Black criminals is about as equal to news coverage of White criminals." The manual is over 600 pages long and is used as a handbook, to cleanse military personnel of any racist tendencies and is required by the Pentagon to be taught in every military installation around the nation.
The reason you don't hear of this manual is because it is extremely embarrassing for America to admit that even in 2013, it still suffers from the generational curse that has been passed down to this current generation.
This is something even the corporate media is unwilling to confront, because it would force them to take an inventory of themselves and accentuate the positive in Black people rather than always portray them as uneducated drug dealers and thugs. It would force universities and vocational institutes to award accurate grades to students, rather than flunk them as a way to hold them back. It would force law enforcement officers to stop drivers legitimately, as opposed to stopping them as a result of racial profiling. It would force the justice system to give fair trials and live by the mantra "Equal Justice For All", instead of equal justice for the privileged or chosen few.
In other words, it would start a conversation that may lead to the uprooting of this cancer, this generation curse, and yet there are many who are not ready to let go of it...lest it puts everyone on an level-playing field.
In the case of the unfortunate shooting of the Black teenage girl, police are already making excuses saying the shooter did so in self defense, out of fear of being robbed. The narrative has already been set, therefore once this goes to trial one can already predict what the verdict will be. Oh, well. Add Comments>>
