Racist NH Police Commissioner confronted by residents
by Joseph Earnest May 16, 2014
Newscast WOLFEBORO—Embattled 82-year-old Police Commissioner Robert Copeland faced angry residents in New Hampshire, who demanded he resign after using a racial slur to describe Barack Obama.
In a restaurant, Copeland referred to Obama as an f******g n****r, and said he would not apologize for it, because according to Copeland, Obama meets the criteria of the word.
"I believe I did use the 'N' word in reference to the current occupant of the Whitehouse," Copeland said in an email to his fellow police commissioners, "For this, I do not apologize -- he meets and exceeds my criteria for such."
In the townhall meeting the residents asked him to resign because they said he brings shame their town and New Hampshire, since he is a public official.
