Newscast Media RAMALLAHAfter investigative reports revealed high levels of radioactive chemicals in Yasser Arafat's body samples, a team of French and Swiss experts, have decided to exhume Arafat's body.  Arafat's widow Suha, who suspects Israel of playing a role in her husband's death, submitted her late husband’s toothbrush, stained underwear and other belongings to a respected Swiss lab for examination.

Unusually high levels of the isotope Polonium-210 were discovered in the samples, which his wife Suha believes was the actual cause of his death.

"Not the whole world has access to nuclear elements," Suha said, in response to the results.

The story was first broken by Al Jazeera, in July 2012 after a nine-month investigation, which brought into question Arafat's actual cause of death.

David Frum, a former speech writer for President George W. Bush claimed Arafat had contracted AIDS according to a 2004 article by Daily Kos , while his aides have alleged that he was poisoned by Mossad with Thallium, another radioactive element.

The Swiss and French medical investigative team has arrived in the West Bank city of Ramallah to prepare for the exhumation of former Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, which is expected to be consummated on November 26. Add Comments>>
