Tea Party candidate Debra Medina is shown here behind the scenes meeting with her supporters  during  the gubenatorial race.    She ran against incumbent Gov. Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchinson   and lost the race.  Medina said throughout her campaign that if she were elected governor, she  would get  rid of property taxes which she referred to as 'paying rent' to the government for property  people  already owned.
