Part 1: Barack Obama will attempt to command a red state to turn to blue

Newscast Media WASHINGTON—Driven by the ambition to make what seems impossible possible, Barack Obama has embarked on perhaps his most challenging domestic undertaking, which is to turn Texas, a red state, into a blue one.
Politicians are realizing Obama was serious about his undertaking when he opened shop in Texas, under the political action group called Battleground Texas.
Obama understands that should he succeed in turning Texas blue, there will never be a Republican president in the White House, according to the analysis of newly-elected Senator Ted Cruz.

How realistic are Obama's ambitions?
Thomas B. Edsall of the New York Times believes it is doable. His reasoning is that Obama's targeting of Hispanics could turn the state into purple then eventually blue. "What makes Texas such an inviting target for Democratic organizers is that Hispanic turnout in the state is strikingly low, 38.8 percent of those eligible to vote, compared to the national average of 48 percent," Edsalle wrote in a New York Times article.
Quoting Ted Cruz, Edsall wrote: "In not too many years, Texas could switch from being all Republican to all Democrat. If that happens, no Republican will ever again win the White House. New York and California are for the foreseeable future unalterably Democrat. If Texas turns bright blue, the Electoral College math is simple…The Republican Party would cease to exist." (pop-up)
Trump card or rabbit out of a hat?
With the recent disclosures that the NSA and other intelligence agencies have private data of government officials, it becomes more and more probable that Obama could use the information he has access to as a trump card.

Government officials are no saints. They know it. Obama knows it. It should not be surprising to anyone to see abrupt resignations of people in high places, occurring within the next 12 months. Some will simply announce their retirement from politics, others will announce they will not be running for additional terms in office, because they want to spend more time with their families and so forth.
However, don't be fooled—these impending early retirements or abrupt resignations that we will see, won't be due to political fatigue on behalf of those stepping away from politics. Knowing how the Democrat political machine works, if they happen to have a tape, or embarrassing photos of someone who the targeted political opponent was not supposed to be with, they could use such information to gain political leverage over their opponents. This trick is used all the time in politics.
We can remember the revelation that candidate John Edwards had a love child, his political career was destroyed. How about Al Gore's misconduct at a massage parlor or even Jesse Jackson Jr's missuse of campaign money, or Herman Cain's several mistresses who popped up all of a sudden, causing him to drop out. During the Benghazi hearings, David Patreus decides to resign, to the surprise of Dianne Feinstein and others. How and why were his indiscretions revealed at that particular time?
We should expect a continuation of the same in the months ahead. After all, why would the Dems let this NSA wiretapping crisis go to waste?
