Tropical Storm Isaac heads for the Gulf Coast with momentum By Wednesday Isaac is expected to establish contact with Lousiana by Joseph Earnest August 27, 2012
Newscast Media TAMPA, Fla—Tropical Storm Isaac did not pass quietly as it continues to head in a northeast direction from the Florida Keys. Rainfall was left behind even though by 5:00 A.M. in the morning the rains had subsided in Tampa where the GOP convention is happening.
According to AccuWeather, Isaac has now pushed away from the Florida Peninsula and is headed for Louisiana and parts of the Florida Panhandle by midweek, prompting Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to declare a state of emergency in the low lying areas of New Orleans.
As Isaac gains momentum, residents on the Gulf Coast aren't taking any chances and are already stocking up on the essentials in case they have to evacuate or lose electricity. Isaac is expected to endanger lives and property along the northern Gulf Coast seven years to the date of Hurricane Katrina's devastating landfall. Add Comments>>
