Newscast Media LAKEWOOD, WashingtonA mother from Lakewood, Washington state, recently made a viral Facebook post in defence of anti-LGBT policies on bathrooms which received huge support worldwide but also drew plenty of criticism.

Kristi Merritt posted a series of images on her Facebook page on April 12, one of them showing her dressed as a football player holding a sign that read, “Does this make me Russell Wilson?” LifeSite News reports.

She also posted a photo of herself dressed as a pirate holding a sign asking, “Does this make me a pirate?”

“Then how can this make a man into a woman?” Merritt continued, posting a photo of a dress and purse.

“A man in women’s clothes does not make him a woman. Men should not get to be in our bathrooms or lockers! #?JustWantPrivacy #?BeBold,” she wrote.

The post has been shared over 107,600 times and received over 59,000 “likes.”

Merritt says some users marked her post as having nudity in it, causing Facebook to ask her to remove it.

“Facebook is trying to make me remove this post, they are trying to say it has nudity in it. Here’s what’s happening. The people who are trying to censor me are reporting it as having nudity in it, which it clearly does not,” Merritt writes in one of her posts.
