Newscast Media WASHINGTON—Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has dubbed her rival Donald Trump's campaign as one that will "make America hate again," while he in turn labelled her as a racist whose family foundation was a "criminal enterprise."

Clinton, speaking in the state of Nevada on August 25, said Trump had made "hate groups mainstream" and had unleashed the "radical fringe" within the Republican Party, including anti-Semites and white supremacists.

Clinton also slammed Trump for appearing at a campaign event with British politician Nigel Farage, saying Farage had fueled anti-immigrant feelings to win a referendum on leaving the European Union.

Clinton said both Trump and Farage are part of a rising tide of "extreme nationalism" and that "the godfather" of that global trend is Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The billionaire businessman rejected Clinton's allegations of racism, defending his hard-line approach to immigration and accusing her of painting "decent Americans as racists."

Trump also accused Clinton of being a "racist" by viewing minorities merely as a source of votes while doing nothing for them.

Trump tried to turn the tables on Clinton, suggesting she was trying to distract from questions around donations to The Clinton Foundation and her use of her private email servers.  Add Comments>>
