The Houston Rockets Power Dancer Tryouts are held annually to acquire new talented dancers for the Houston Rockets. Hundreds of participants audition at the event in hopes of becoming securing a spot on the dance squad of the NBA team.

The slideshow includes Betsy Bear a European brown bear that was rescued from a life of abuse and cruelty from Gonzales, Texas. Besty bear underwent successful surgery and was recently shipped to Romania and released in the wild. Horses, birds, livestock, dogs, cats, and poultry are among the many animals that the Houston SPCA rescues, nurses, then puts up for adoption.
